A sword developed to fend off the Mongol invasion, the Shobu Katana is forged from folded 1095/1080/1060 carbon steels. The blade is clay-tempered, giving it a distinctive Hamon, a hardened edge with a softer spine to resist shock and increase durability. All Bushi class blades are given our newly developed hybrid polish, producing a mirror polish, vibrant Hamon and insight into the Hada. With our popular high-relief silver wave themed fittings,this sword makes a fantastic display piece that is also ready for the battlefield.
