The Wolves of Mibu
"We are the Shinsengumi! We have business here!"
Such was the cry the night the Shinsengumi raided the compound of the Ikedaya clan. Known for their ruthlessness in their campaigns to protect the Shogunate of Japan, the Shinsengumi earned the title, "The Wolves of Mibu". Mainly a rabble of Ronin, the Shinsengumi clan accepted all willing but qualified Samurai to join the fight against conspirators who were aiding the Imperialists that ultimately seized control of Japan.
This Daisho set consists of a Katana and a Wakizashi. Both feature tri-steel folded blades with Bo-Hi and are 28"/20" respectively. Both blades have been polished with Japanese Hazuya and Jizuya fingerstones to produce a more traditional finish than a typical hybrid polish. The Tsukas were wrapped in Japanese black silk, the Koshirae was buffed and polished to a silver finish, and the Seppa and Habaki were both plated to match. The Katana has a Kiku themed Tsuba, the Wakizashi has a small Higo style Tsuba.
The Daisho set was required for Samurai, a status symbol of the ruling class. Save $100 when ordered with the matching Tanto for the complete set.
