ARCHIVE: 28.5" Bushi 1095 Satsuma IV Custom Katana - SOLD

The fourth entry to the Satsuma line features a 28.5" 1095 high-carbon and clay-tempered Bushi class blade. The Saya has been done in the signature Satsuma marbled red finish, but with the added addition of rattan at the throat, and a second band towards the end. The blade has also been given a unique Tsukamaki in black imported premium Japanese silk, a Katate-Maki (battle wrap) with a Hineri-Maki center portion. There are no Menuki, but a pair of Lion Dog Menuki will be provided for the owner to place where he wishes. The blade has also been given a light polish to brighten the Hamon. This also marks the first blade in the Satsuma line to have no Bo-Hi, making this a great blade for Tameshigiri practice.
