The Satsuma III features a forge-folded Bushi tri-steel 28" blade with a 10.75 inch Tsuka core. The Tsuka is wrapped in imported high-grade Japanese black silk, the Fuchi-Kashira buffed to a silver sheen, and the Habaki and Seppa plated in silver to match. The blade was extensively polished with Japanese fingerstones to create a more traditional Hamon and contrasting Hada. The thickness and width of the blade are offset by a precisely carved Bo-hi which gives this piece marvelous balance. The Saya is finished in a marbled red lacquer with clear coat to protect the finish. The Tsuba is a steel Mokko shaped armorers piece patinated like old Iron and has the Kogai-Ana plugged with a solid piece of pure silver.
