Tatakai Remount O-Katana

The original "Battlefield" O-Katana has been remounted into a brand new theme. The 31.5 inch Daimyo 1095 blade is massive, yet balanced because of the precisely hand carved Bo-Hi. The fittings were replaced with a new steel Higo themed koshirae set, the saya has been given a rattan wrap at the throat of the saya that has been sanded flush and has a brand new premium Sageo. The Tsuka is a new 14 inch custom carved poplar core with a full wrap on stingray skin and a Hineri Maki in dark brown leather. The Habaki has been copper plated, and under the Tsukamaki are copper dragon menuki. The longer tsuka and lighter koshirae gives this blade powerful leverage and a lighter feel, making it able to give powerful cuts.
